The Memorial Mass for Mike Ivers was a beautiful service. We have such a loving and giving Community. All those that attended and also those that shared your story about Mike was so touching. He definitely has made a huge impact in our community and will forever be in our hearts. We also want to thank Mike's sisters Mary and Ruth for flying out from Chicago to be with us as we share memories of Mike. The Yuma Food Bank wants to thank each and every one of you for your support and continue to make the Yuma Food Bank a success in our community.
Our deepest gratitude to all who participated to make the YCFB Summer Feeding Spike Event a HUGE success. Between 11am and 1pm, 93 lunches were served to food insecure children of Yuma. This event would not have been possible without the support of the Yuma Union High School District who provide all our summer feeding program meals, the Arizona Dairy Council and USDA who provided support and give away items for this event, to our special visitors the British Royal Navy and Army representatives, who wanted to connect with the local community, and to our special guest STAR...BIG RED, who just knows how to captivate the crowd!!
Through collaboration efforts like this, Yuma is closer to no child going to bed...Hungry!
