Our deepest gratitude to all who participated to make the YCFB Summer Feeding Spike Event a HUGE success. Between 11am and 1pm, 93 lunches were served to food insecure children of Yuma. This event would not have been possible without the support of the Yuma Union High School District who provide all our summer feeding program meals, the Arizona Dairy Council and USDA who provided support and give away items for this event, to our special visitors the British Royal Navy and Army representatives, who wanted to connect with the local community, and to our special guest STAR...BIG RED, who just knows how to captivate the crowd!!
Through collaboration efforts like this, Yuma is closer to no child going to bed...Hungry!

Thank you Richard Sprague and Sprague's Sports for another successful Aim to Help Hunger Event. YCFB received 1,113 lbs. of Frozen Meat, 1,436 lbs. of Dry Groceries and $1,026, greatly in part to a generous donation from Adair Range, Inc.! This much needed support will not only benefit the Yuma Community Food Bank, but also Crossroads Mission and Salvation Army, as we support those most vulnerable in Yuma.
However, the BIGGEST Thanks goes out to the Yuma community, who are the front line as we "Fight the War on Hunger!"

On July 6th YCFB received a generous cash donation of $5182.21 from the Safeway Foundation, on behalf of Yuma's local Albertons' store on 32nd street. This donation was then converted into 2,592 gallons of milk received today for distribution. With warmer days and children out of school, YCFB has been experiencing high volumes of services needed, with an average DAILY total of over 200 families in need.
Thank you Albertsons' for this amazing donation, it truly comes at a time of need.
