Homewood Suites

Homewood Suites is participating in a food drive for the YCFB.  Friday we went by and picked up the first box of donations.  We received 83 pounds of donated food which equals $138.61 plus we received from the cash donation box $20.71.  For every dollar received that equals 11 meals per $1.00. We will continue to pick up donations from Homewood Suites. Thank you so much for helping the Yuma Community Food Bank!

The Food Bank Needs Your help!!!

As I lay awake at 3:00 am today, my heart was heavy, thinking about the Yuma Community Food Bank.  I prayed about what can I do to help...I went to Good Morning Yuma, without anything prepared but asked if I could do a "Soap Box", Lisa was kind enough to say" I believe we can make that happen".  As I stood up in front and saw all the faces that make this community such an awesome place to live, I began to share my story. I spoke from my heart and wanted the community to know that there are far too many families that are in need of food and that we don't have the donations and the food that we normally.  I let the many faces of our community know that "We" the "Yuma Community Food Bank" need their help!  Please reach out to me Valerie Millsom (928)343.1243 or send me an email vmillsom@yumafoodbank.org.  Thank you all so much!

RED NOSE DAY

Red Nose day launched in the U.S. in 2015 with a mission to raise money and awareness to end child poverty, and has raised nearly $60 million to date for the cause. Money raised for the campaign goes to the Red Nose Day Fund, which supports programs that keep children in need safe, healthy and educated.

Stop by Walgreens here in Yuma and purchase your "red nose" for $1.00.  Each nose sold $0.50 comes directly back.  Make sure that on May 25th you wear your nose...maybe you'll even see your picture posted!

Support Yuma Community Food Bank and put your "red nose" on May 25th!
